How the Mission Prep app works
Everything below is public. Once you sign in, the same guide is written for whichever calling you hold, and shows the program’s real numbers.

Getting started
True for everyone, whatever calling you hold.
You do not choose your own access
Access follows your calling. The presidency adds you and picks the calling; the system works out what you can see. Nobody picks their own level, and only an owner can change someone else's.
Claiming your account
Being added creates your profile — it does not create your login. You claim it by asking for a sign-in link at the sign-in page, using the email the presidency put on your profile.
Your profile must have an email on it. Accounts are matched by email or phone, so a profile with neither can never be claimed — the presidency can fix that from the People page.
Where you land
Signing in always sends you to one place chosen by your calling — youth to their passport, parents to their family page, bishops to their ward, instructors and the presidency to the admin dashboard. If you ever land on a "not enrolled yet" screen, your account has not been linked.
You see only your stewardship
A parent sees their children. A bishop sees his ward. The presidency sees the stake. This is enforced by the database itself, not by hiding buttons — so there is no arrangement of clicks that shows you someone else's youth.
Who does what
Access follows the calling — nobody chooses it for themselves.
Presidency
Full access — accept applications, issue letters, add people, manage everything.
Instructors
Sees every youth in the stake, runs the host-family pipeline and the class program.
Stake leaders
Watches the whole stake — attendance, challenges, every youth's passport. Marks nothing off, and never sees instructor notes.
Bishops
Sees their own ward's youth, and is the only calling that approves host families in that ward.
Ward leaders
Sees only their own ward's youth. Does not approve host families — that stays with the bishop.
Ward mission leaders
Sees the homes offered in their own ward — the ones waiting on the bishop and the ones he has approved. Approves nothing, and sees no youth.
Parents
Sees only their own children.
